“BUSINESS is great,” says Hartwigs Trucks’ Shepparton branch manager, Simon Calogero.

Next year, the company will celebrate its’ 100th birthday. Starting out in Wagga Wagga as B G Hartwig & Co Pty Ltd, five generations later the same family and their local team are proud to be servicing the automotive industry.

“100 years in business is a big achievement. Having the right staff, the right leadership and products all contributes to that,” said Simon.

Sales on leading brands, like Mercedes Benz, Freightliner and Fuso have remained strong throughout the year, with demand for fuel efficiency driving sales on Mercedes and Freightliner trucks.

“Fuel efficiency is a big thing, considering the price of fuel these days. That, and taking total cost of ownership into account, has been a big winner for us and has driven sales,

“When sales are going well, parts and services continue to flourish also,” Simon said.

Strategic planning has enabled Hartwigs to continue pushing onward despite supply chain issues across industries. They are proud to announce they will welcome two new product lines from Penske.

“MAN’s just released their new TG3 product and Western Star is due to release their new X series towards the end of the year.

Speaking of changes, “The building has had a freshen up, the façade has been repainted and new signage on the windows.

“It’s very new and it has really brightened up the front of the building. We’ve had a lot of comments as to how good it looks.”

These are exciting times for Hartwigs Trucks, which cap off 100 years of excellence in automotive industry.
