Roots of recovery help grow our gardens

GARDENING Australia’s Sophie Thomson is coming back to the region with two fantastic free events hosted by Resilience in Recovery.

Sophie’s first event, Roots of Recovery, will be held on Sunday, June 23, at St Paul’s African House, 54 Poplar Avenue, from 9.15am to 4pm. There will be free courtesy buses from Murchison and Bunbartha and catering as well. There is limited space so bookings a required at https://www.trybooking.com/CRYIN.

Sophie will provide invaluable advice on practical steps to rebuild and rejuvenate your garden after the recent floods, focusing on resilience and sustainability.

Sophie’s Second event, Grow Our Garden, will be held Monday, June 24, at the Murchison Community Garden, 19 Impey Street, Murchison from 9am to 10.30am. And Murchison Primary School, 8-10 Impey Street, Murchison, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Sophie will share her experience on the power of gardening for wellbeing, the benefits of growing food at home or in a shared garden and offer practical tips to help you succeed.
