Local business grows under Victorian network

BUYING and selling property can seem intimidating, but when backed by local representatives who are well-supported by an extensive network of conveyancers, it doesn’t have to be.

“Sargeants Conveyancing is one of the largest conveyancing networks in Victoria. We offer the strength of a solicitor supported network and over 20 offices throughout Victoria” said Rebecca Finnigan, owner of Sargeants Goulburn Valley, a conveyancing firm that expanded into Shepparton this year.

“I started the business approximately nine years ago when I resided in Nagambie. I moved to Kialla two years ago and rebranded to Sargeants Goulburn Valley.”

“The past three years in the property industry have been hectic. There has been much growth in the Goulburn Valley where previously there was not, it’s created the perfect storm for the property market.”

“Whilst working for solicitors for 20 years I had been encouraged to study and obtain my conveyancing licence,” explained Ms Finnigan.

“It wasn’t until I had children that something changed. It taught me that nothing worthwhile in life will fall in your lap, that if you want something for yourself, go out and make it happen.”

After achieving her qualification, Ms Finnigan began working under the Sargeants network, opening Sargeants GV at 632 Wyndham Street, Shepparton.

“Personally, it is a great industry to work in. I enjoy the satisfaction of helping clients navigate their way through the conveyancing process.”

Sargeants GV employs two staff – Kelly Simsen who has previously worked in the finance sector for over 27 years and Jason Rowles who was previously employed with Victoria Police for over 30 years.

Ms Finnigan said, “Buying and selling property is one of the most stressful decisions many people make. We like to think we make the process as easy and stress free as possible and offer fixed price fees for standard conveyancing matters providing our clients with certainty of costs.”
